Preschool
How did I go from teaching high school French to having my own preschool? Two words: Willow and Echo. I simply wanted my twin daughters to attend a wonderful, nurturing, stimulating French program. They, along with a handful of other children, made up my very first class in 2009.
The curriculum that I have developed incorporates my Bachelor’s of Education Degree, over 25 years of experience teaching French in a variety of schools and grades, my Master’s in Language and Literacy, as well as my Degree in Early Childhood Education. Most importantly, my curriculum was designed with my own kids in mind.
Making meaningful connections with others is very important to me, and I take pride in the community of children and parents that has been created through the years at La petite ecole. I welcome you to take a look through my testimonials of my community and I am always grateful that most families who come here are referred by others.
My preschool is located on the ground floor of my family home. In each class, we have 8 students and 2 teachers. Our program is very structured and has a balance of “set” activities as well as open-ended ones which all promote social, emotional, as well as cognitive growth, and a sense of community.

We seek the best fit for our classes, and conduct family interviews in the Fall. There are 3 terms in each school year (Fall, Winter, and Spring). After your application is complete, including payment of $100.00, we will reach out to set up a private visit with your family, including your child. Our family visits are approximately 45min and typically take place mornings before our class or during our lunch break. There is nothing to bring besides yourselves. We look forward to getting to know your family and welcoming you at La petite ecole.
